Generic drugs came to the market nearly 80 years ago. During that period they were called as duplicate drugs or copied drugs of the original brand name drugs. But still they got the market support and started selling well. Here, the problem was raised by the original brand name manufacturer because they were losing their sales and hold over the market. Thus, the case was filed against the generic drug manufacturers. The result of the case was declared in the favor of generic drug manufacturer after checking the quality standards, effectiveness, and side effects of the drug. A rule was developed that generic drugs can be soled in the market only after the approval given by the Food and Drug Administration.Generic Drugs are capturing the minds of customers and manufacturers because of the profits they are making to both these classes.
